Organised by HKF TRADE FAIRS, VIV TURKEY 2009, the International Poultry and Techonologies Trade Fair and ANIMALIA ISTANBUL 2009, the International Stock-Breeding and Allied Technologies ran concurrently in different halls of the Istanbul Fair Center 25-27th June 2009.

The opening address was given by HKF Trade Fairs’ General Manager, Mr. Bekir Çakıcı; the other speakers included the president of Tire Milk Cooperative, Mr. Mahmut Eskiyörük, Prof. Dr. Bingür Sönmez, the president of the Scientific Poultry Association, Prof. Dr. Rüveyde Akbay, the president of the Turkish Feed Industry Association, Mr. Ülkü Karakuş. The opening was also attended Mr. Ahmet Kavak, the general manager of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs provincial Office. The opening ceremony was followed by a reception and lunch.

283 companies pariticipated at VIV Turkey 2009 of which 125 were local and 158 from overseas. As for ANIMALIA ISTANBUL 2009 138 companies participated of which 87 were local and 51 were from overseas.

VIV TURKEY 2009 and ANIMALIA ISTANBUL 2009 became the meeting point fort he industries’exhibitors and trade visitors. The Turkish polutry industry was agreed that the fair would help to develop and increase productivity in their industry. İn addition, both industries saw their issues and concerns discussed and were informed by the series of seminars, debates and discussion panels that were organised for their benefit.
